Danny R. Grant is a Senior member of the International Right of Way Association, a registered Professional Agrologist and a member of the Canadian Consulting Agrologists. He obtained a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Sciences in 1967 and has attended and taught many specialty courses in right of way, property management and appraisal since that time.

With 34 years of appraisal experience in Western Canada and California, he has developed several specialty areas of expertise. These include appraisals on most types of real estate where expert testimony or litigation assistance is required.

Highway proximity, high voltage transmission lines, gas and oil pipelines, sewage lagoons and sanitary landfills on surrounding real estate values are a few of the impacts on real estate values where specialty studies have been completed. Waterfront lands, first Nations lands, and agricultural lands, for all purposes are also specialty areas.

Expert testimony has been provided for property tax assessment appeals, capital gains taxation, professional negligence, matrimonial property, partition actions, full and partial interest expropriations for municipal, provincial and federal projects has been provided in over 60 reported cases.

Several large government acquisition programs have been carried out or managed to secure rights of way for dyking and drainage works, foreshore and riverfront acquisitions as well as roads, parks and other uses.

He continues to be involved as a managing partner of a large cranberry farm and ranch as well as commercial properties. He has been a speaker for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia, the British Columbia Expropriation Association, the International Right of Way Association Educational Seminar and the Urban Land Institute.
